Java Jazz Festival

Arrived at Hatta International Airport on the 1st of March 2006. Excited and with no further due, rushes to look for accomodation and taxi coz this trip frankly was planned just a month before landing. No hotel reservation nor any ticktes. Dun want us beautifuls to sleep on the street, aint we? ;p

Owh, btw, my travel mate for this trip is Miss Claire. Just the two of us gurls. wuhuu...

After we found the suitable hotel just outside the airport, we rushes of to the hotel and take a quick nap before setting ourself to the venue of the event, to buy for the tickets and we've greeted by this rather 'conservative' kind of transportation, just ouside the venue...

ahaaa... quite 'eco-friendly' eyh? except for few methanes-generated 'leftovers' being composed on the streets, its acceptable i guess. hehe ;)

and then the day after, the ultimate event began. The Java Jazz Festival. With almost 15 stages all over the venue, this is the ultimate Jazz Festival extravaganza. Talking about a full-fledge Jazzy performance in various kinds, 10am to 2am in the morning. Whilst keeping jazz as its core, they've pulled in a diverse range of music - soul, jazz, funk, R&B, blues, roots, main stream, pop jazz, rock jazz, smooth jazz, not to mention jazz dangdut, keroncong jazz and much more. Even i cant identified some of he jazz. hahaha...

And these are some of my favourite performances...

African's percussions...

Marvellous, young, European pianist... he played like oh-so-naturally..

and one and only, queen of japan's bossanovas... Lisa Ono. And not forgetting his super-cute guitarist! hahaha ;p

Marcell was there too. Being all sexy an that. hahaha..

So does indonesia's favourite ruth Sahanaya. *sorry, i only can get the back of her ;p hehehe...

Pardon for my lack of qualities in the pichas. Actaully, i was using Claire's camera while my camera had gone with wind (yeah, its HILANG). huhuhu..

Anywy, Jakarta was great. even the drivers are a lil bit crazy, but its aite. Love the festival and was thinking going to the big big Jazz more-daym-extravaganza in future.... The Ultimate New Orleans-based Jazz Festival. hahahah....someday bebeh...someday ;)
